The 'Monsters of Rock' series was great fun to do. The cover designs were based around real world guitar effects pedals. Each cover was linked to a typical pedal used within that sub genre of rock. Psych rock was represented by a vintage 1960s fuzz pedal — metal, a newer digital type and grunge, a beaten up Soviet import of the early 1990s. If you look carefully, each pedal also has a face to enhance its personality.
